Arsenal icon, Thierry Henry, has urged the Gunners to rethink their approach following their 1-0 home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash.
Mikel Arteta’s men now face a daunting challenge to reach the final after Ousmane Dembele’s early strike handed PSG the advantage at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The French side came close to extending their lead, striking the woodwork twice in a dominant performance.
Arsenal centre-back William Saliba acknowledged the pressure applied by PSG, admitting the visitors made them “suffer.”
Despite the setback, Saliba remains optimistic about a possible comeback.
However, Henry believes significant adjustments are necessary for Arsenal to have any chance in the return leg at the Parc des Princes, warning that Luis Enrique’s team will be even tougher to beat at home.
Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry said: “PSG were much superior, for me, in this match. There are a lot of things that need to change for Arsenal to beat PSG. You never know what can happen. I think of PSG against FC Barcelona last season. Everyone thought it was over, but they [Paris] ultimately won the return leg easily.”
