President-elect, Bola Tinubu on Friday hosted the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike at the Defence House, Abuja.
Speaking after the meeting, Makinde while speaking to journalists stated,”Elections are over. We will support President-Elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration”.
The two Peoples Democratic Party governors were among the aggrieved G-5 governors of the Party who refused to work for former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, and PDP Presidential candidate in the February 25 election, which was won by Tinubu.
They had insisted on the resignation of PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, in the buildup to the general elections.
Also present at the meeting were former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, among others.
