Udinese’s struggles in Serie A persisted on Wednesday evening as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Torino.
The team, under Runjaic’s management, has now lost their last four matches, leaving them stranded in 11th place on the league table.
Needing a win to leapfrog Torino into 10th position, Udinese’s hopes were dashed as they fell to a 2-0 loss. Torino, on the other hand, now hold a three-point advantage at the top.
Despite conceding four goals against AC Milan last weekend, Maduka Okoye remained a key figure for Udinese, starting in goal.
However, the team’s poor form was on full display as they struggled to organize themselves during the first half.
The breakthrough came in the 39th minute when Che Adams found the back of the net just before halftime.
In the second half, Udinese attempted to keep Torino at bay, but their efforts were in vain. Ali Dembele sealed the win for the home side with a second goal in the 85th minute, giving Torino a comfortable two-goal lead.
The match ended 2-0 in favour of Torino, further highlighting Udinese’s struggles in recent weeks.
