Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday, sent a second list to the state’s Assembly for screening and approval.
Recall that, the state Assembly had rejected 17 out of a 39-man list earlier sent by the governor.
During plenary on Monday, the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, called on the committee which handled the previous list to handle the new.
After which plenary was adjourned till Thursday, September 7.
In a statement issued by the States’s Assembly via its X handle, it wrote, “Speaker Obasa calls on the committee that handled the previous nominees to take charge on the new list sent by the Governor, @jidesanwoolu and report back to the House by Thursday 7/09/2023.”
Obasa said, “Some of the nominees have their documents with you, and you can reach out to the new nominees. I want you to be thorough and do the needful while carrying out this exercise.”
The Nominees were read by the Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko.
