Controversial street-hop sensation, Habeeb Okikilola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has once again found himself in the spotlight, this time for legal reasons.
He was arrested by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command following a petition lodged by legendary fuji musician Okunola Saheed, widely recognized as Osupa.
In a statement issued by the State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, Osupa’s petition leveled several grave allegations against Portable.
These include criminal defamation, threats to life, incitement, character assassination, and behavior capable of disturbing public order, as well as the use of offensive and abusive language.
“In view of the weight of these allegations and the supporting evidence presented, the command secured a valid arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court sitting in Ilorin. Acting on this warrant, operatives from the command proceeded to Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday, 13th April 2025, where the suspect was apprehended at about 19:25hrs. He was immediately brought to Ilorin for further investigations.
“Upon his arrival, the suspect’s statement was taken in the presence of legal representatives from both parties,” the statement read.
SP Ejire-Adeyemi confirmed that Portable is still in police custody as authorities make speedy preparations to arraign him in court.
