The Federal Capital Territory, Police Command has made significant progress in its investigation into the deadly attack on a Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, by arresting three suspects linked to the crime.
The assault, which took place earlier this week, resulted in the tragic death of one camper, Johnson John.
The police, acting on credible intelligence and tracking the deceased’s mobile phones, arrested Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village in Karshi.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects were apprehended after extensive digital tracking, which led authorities to recover three mobile phones from them.
Two of these phones were confirmed to belong to the deceased.
“The FCT Police Command has made a breakthrough in its investigation into the tragic attack on the Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village. Acting on credible intelligence and mobile phone tracking, police operatives arrested the suspects and recovered items directly connected to the victim,” Adeh stated.
The arrested suspects are currently in police custody, and further investigations are ongoing. They will be charged in court once the investigation is concluded.
