Supporter of the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, were today reportedly attacked in Lagos State.
According to reports, the supporters otherwise known as ‘Obidients’, were attacked at the campaign rally of Peter Obi in the State on Saturday.
Pictures and videos of the incident making rounds on social media showed graphics images of some of the supporters with bruised body parts and other properties which were destroyed.
An activist and Obi supporter, Rinu Oduala, said, “‘Obidients are bullies’. But one party is currently trying to prevent LP rally in Lagos by sponsoring attacks with thugs armed with machetes and guns. The wickedness of our ‘intellectuals and celebrities’ isn’t talked about enough.”
As at the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police are yet to react to the development.
