The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, on Thursday, hosted the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator to Nigeria, Matthias Schmale and his team.
Tuggar, in a statement via his X handle, disclosed that he received them at the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
According to the minister, the courtesy visit underscored the UN’s strong support and commitment to humanitarian efforts in Nigeria.
The statement read, “I received a courtesy visit from the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator to Nigeria, Mr @matzschmale and his team at @NigeriaMFA today.
“His visit underscores the UN’s strong support and commitment to humanitarian efforts in Nigeria.”
