In a recent public appearance, former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, categorically ruled out a potential return to the Presidential Villa, citing the immense stress and pressure that comes with being in the public eye.
When asked about the possibility of returning to the villa, Mrs. Jonathan laughed off the idea, stating that she looks much younger and fresher after exiting the villa, harping that there is much stress that follows the position.
Her remarks highlight the challenges and burdens that come with being in high-profile positions, and her desire to maintain a more peaceful and private life.
As the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan and a former permanent secretary in Bayelsa state, Mrs. Jonathan’s comments offer a glimpse into the personal sacrifices made by those in public service.
“If you call me now for villa, I won’t go there. I won’t. Don’t you see how young I am? The stress is so much,” she said in a TVC video posted on X.
