Crystal Palace booked their place in the FA Cup final for the first time in nine years after a commanding 3-0 victory over Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday.
Oliver Glasner’s men went ahead in the semi-final thanks to a stunning long-range strike from Eberechi Eze, before Ismaila Sarr added two more goals after the break to seal the win.
Palace will now await the winner of Sunday’s second semi-final between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, with the final set for May 17.
The Eagles are still in search of their first-ever FA Cup triumph, having fallen short in their two previous final appearances against Manchester United in 1990 and 2016.
Aston Villa, FA Cup winners back in 1957, were aiming to reach their first final since 2015.
However, Unai Emery’s side turned in a poor performance and must now refocus their efforts on securing a top-five finish in the Premier League to earn Champions League qualification.
