The newly elected Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, along with his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, were officially sworn into office on Tuesday.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, a venue filled with supporters eager to witness the beginning of the new administration.
The Chief Justice of Edo State, Daniel Okungbowa, administered the oaths of office to both leaders, affirming their commitment to uphold the constitution and fulfill their duties in accordance with its principles.
As they took the solemn oaths, Governor Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Idahosa pledged to “uphold the constitution and work within its dictate as well as see to the well-being of the people of the state.”
Cheers erupted from the crowd throughout the oath-taking ceremony, symbolizing strong support for the incoming administration and anticipation for the positive changes they promised to bring to Edo State.
