The Kano State Independent Electoral Commission has announced that the New Nigeria People’s Party secured victory in all 44 Local Government chairmanship seats and 484 councillorship positions during Saturday’s Local Government elections in Kano State.
KANSIEC Chairman, Prof. Sani Malumfashi, revealed the election results on Saturday night, stating, “Six political parties participated in the election: AA, AAC, Accord, ADC, APM, and NNPP. The NNPP won all 44 local government chairmanships and 484 councillorship positions contested.”
Prof. Malumfashi expressed his deep gratitude to Kano residents for their support, prayers, and positive sentiments. He remarked that the peaceful conduct of the election underscored public confidence in its credibility, fairness, and integrity.
“The exercise has been largely peaceful and successful in all respects. The commission, therefore, deeply appreciates the roles played by critical stakeholders,” he said.
