The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, will present the 2023 budget; the last presentation of his first term before the lawmakers in the state on Thursday.
Makinde is expected to appear before members of the Oyo State House of Assembly for the presentation of the 2023 budget around 2pm on November 3.
An anonymous source disclosed that everything is set for presentation and defence of the budget by the Governor.
The source added that some of the lawmakers who are not within the state as at the time of filing this report have been told to make themselves available before the date.
Recall, Governor Seyi Makinde came on board in 2019 via a coalition with other political parties to unseat the All Progressives Congress led by Adebayo Adelabu Penkelemesi.
However, there are insinuations from different quarters as to whether Makinde will be reelected or not because he stands in opposition to Atiku’s presidency and his inability to manage the party’s internal crises and annoyance of gladiators who assisted his emergence but pushed them to the wall.
