The All Progressives Congress governorship contender in Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule has been announced winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The announcement was made in Lafia on Monday at the Nasarawa State Collation Centre by Prof. Ishaya Tanko, the INEC State Collation and Returning Officer.
According to ThisDay, the APC candidate polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, David Ombugadu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party with 283, 016 votes.
“Abdullahi Sule of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election is hereby declared winner and returned elected,” Prof. Tanko added.
