Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has stated that he will leave office without fear of investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission or any other body.
Speaking at the conclusion of the Feast of Christ the King Mass at the Government House Chapel in Owerri, the governor reaffirmed his dedication to the development of the state and his commitment to keeping promises made to both the people and God.
Uzodimma emphasized that he has no fear of any allegations or accusations, stressing that anyone with evidence of wrongdoing should come forward, according to Politics Nigeria.
“I will leave office a free man, sleep with my two eyes closed without being afraid of anybody, including the EFCC,” Governor Uzodinma said.
He expressed confidence that he would leave office in peace, without fear of any repercussions.
The governor further asserted that he had not violated any of his promises to the people of Imo. He pointed to the ongoing progress in infrastructure and the overall development of the state, which he believes will stand as a lasting legacy of his administration.
He challenged anybody with evidence of what he has done wrong to bring it forward “because I will leave office a free man, sleep with my two eyes closed without being afraid of anybody, including the EFCC.”
