The head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has revealed that certain governors must exercise extreme caution to avoid being ousted from office by insurgent forces.
The cleric issued a strong appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, urging swift and decisive action against the growing threat of insecurity in Nigeria.
Primate Ayodele, in a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, warned that bandits are working tirelessly to destabilize the current administration.
He emphasized that their plan includes overtaking government houses, particularly in the northern region.
“There are people behind the insecurity, and if it is not dealt with immediately, a more disastrous situation will come,” Primate Ayodele warned, highlighting the need for immediate intervention.
He specifically mentioned the governors of Borno and Benue states, Professor Babagana Zulum and Hyacinth Alia, urging them to be vigilant in the face of the looming threat.
“Some governors need to be very careful so they won’t be sacked from office by these insurgents. The governors of Borno, Professor Babagana Zulum, and Benue, Hyacinth Alia, must take this insecurity thing seriously so that their offices will not be taken over by these daredevils,” he cautioned.
The prophet stressed the importance of the NSA treating the northern insecurity crisis with urgency, warning of a coordinated effort to frustrate President Tinubu’s administration.
“I am warning Nuhu Ribadu and President Tinubu to quickly deal with the insecurity issues, especially in the north. There are people behind it to frustrate the president, and they want to fight without mercy. Let’s be careful so that insurgents will not sack any governor,” he said.
Primate Ayodele also called for prayers against the grim scenario he envisions, noting that the wave of violence might extend to Abuja, Kaduna, Yobe, and Nasarawa if proactive steps are not taken.
“They will terrorise them, and we need to pray so we don’t see a situation of these governors and some in the north vacating their offices. This will also spread to Abuja, Kaduna, Yobe, and Nasarawa. We must be very careful,” he added.
