The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has lifted the dawn to dusk curfew imposed on the state.
According to Daily Post, this was disclosed by the Kano State commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Muhammad Garba, through a press statement issued on Monday night.
The curfew was implemented to prevent a breakdown in law and order in response to tensions brought on by the State’s collation of governorship results.
According to him, the decision to lift the curfew was made after a careful analysis of the circumstances and the general calm in the state.
Garba urged commercial banks, government workers, and residents of the state to carry on with their regular operations.
