Chelsea kept their hopes of securing a top-five Premier League finish alive with a narrow 1-0 victory over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Nicolas Jackson, ending his goal drought since December, delivered a brilliant strike from outside the box to score his tenth goal of the season.
His effort capped off a first half where Chelsea’s dominance could have easily seen them extend their lead.
Everton showed more attacking intent after the break, with Beto nearly finding an equaliser during one of their few ventures forward.
However, Chelsea remained the more threatening side, and Noni Madueke was unlucky not to add his name to the score sheet with an impressive performance.
Jackson thought he had grabbed a second late on, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Still, his earlier strike proved enough for Chelsea.
With the win, the Blues move up to fourth place in the Premier League table, sitting just one point behind Manchester City in third.
