Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi announced on Friday that he would “step aside” after his party faced a significant loss in the general elections, according to preliminary results.
At a press conference, Masisi addressed the nation, saying, “I wish to congratulate the opposition on their victory and concede the election.”
