No fewer than 47 people were killed on Sunday night in Zike and Kimakpa communities, located in the Kwall District of Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State.
According to the Nation, the deadly assault occurred just over a week after a similar attack in Bokkos Local Government Area that claimed 52 lives and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.
National Secretary of the Irigwe Development Association, Danjuma Dickson Auta, confirmed the latest incident on Monday in Jos.
He said the attacks happened around 8:00 pm, resulting in the deaths of 47 people and leaving many others injured.
The Plateau State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the killings.
