Farmers, herders and members of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Saturday held a solidarity walk for Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
According to the Sun, the newly elected National President of Miyetti Allah, Alh. Baba Usman Ngelzarma, stated that the purpose of the solidarity rally was to support the re-election bid of Buni.
Buni, in his address charged farmers and grazers in the state to live in peace for economic prosperity.
“In the post insurgency Yobe state, we now enjoy relative peace, we should not allow anyone to come and create crisis among us,” he cautioned.
He reminded the state’s traditional rulers and opinion leaders of their obligation to build and promote peace in their territories.
He also urged members of Miyetti Allah to support the new national president who also hails from the state.
