Lere Olayinka, Media Aide to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has hit back at Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of Ayo Fayose, a two-time governor of Ekiti State, over his recent comments about the minister.
The controversy started when Isaac Fayose took to Facebook to question Wike’s whereabouts, following social media rumours about the minister’s ill health. In his initial post on Saturday, Fayose wrote, “Where is Wike?? Please your attention is needed.”
Shortly after, he posted a video reiterating the question and suggested that Wike’s attention was needed in Bayelsa State.
In response, Lere Olayinka, who serves as Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communication and New Media, lashed out at Isaac Fayose. Olayinka criticised Fayose’s comments, accusing him of substance abuse and warning him about the risks associated with his lifestyle.
Olayinka posted in the comments section, “Before I leave here for other important engagements, let me advise Prince Isaac Fayose to take the issues of his health, especially his internal organs, very seriously.
“When you smoke WEED (Igbo) and sniff certain things, you need regular medical checkup rather than masturbating about Wike, who is in his house after doing his jobs till late yesterday.
“And be mindful of NDLEA abeg.
“It is just an advice. Hissssssssssssh.”
Olayinka’s remarks seemed to insinuate that Fayose’s lifestyle habits could draw the attention of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
However, Isaac Fayose did not take the comments lightly and swiftly responded with another post, tagging Olayinka and hinting at further retaliation. He wrote:
“😮😮😮😮Lere Olayinka, Your video is coming soon 🤣🤣🤣
Between me and your drunk@rd boss we go see today 🤣🤣🤣.”
