A Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Dele Momodu, has reacted to recent comments by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, about the party and its members.
Recall that, Wike had in a media chat on Tuesday claimed that another party chieftain, Dino Melaye, was not fit to become the governor of Kogi state, this is as preparations are geared towards the primary elections.
According to Wike, Melaye is only a dramatist and had nothing to offer the residents of the state.
While Melaye himself responded to the castigating comments saying that Wike had stepped on the tiger’s tail, members of the Atiku/Okowa camp have also responded.
Momodu, who played an active role in the campaign council of the presidential candidate of the PDP in the February 25 polls, Atiku Abubakar, said Wike dribbled and manipulated everyone in PDP.
The journalist and business mogul said this in an online video trending on Wednesday.
In the video he said, “Peter Obi ran away because he knew he had no capacity to match Wike. Wike was all… he was Alpha and Omega. They were just dribbling and manipulating all of us.
“And I complained one day… twice, I had an appointment from Governor Seyi Makinde, I came to Ibadan… he never saw me and you say you are fighting for the South? When Southern candidates were… all the northern candidates were moving… in fact, at a time, they almost got a con-census.
“Tambuwal, Saraki, Bala Mohammed, Atiku was the only one who stood alone, and Atiku had gone to Wike. He told Wike two things: ‘let us run together’, after he left Wike started plotting against Secondus, that’s number one.
“Number two, Atiku told PDP that if you are doing zoning, if you zone to the South-East I will not contest, Wike said ‘No!’ Nobody is saying the truth about these thing. That’s what happened.
“They did not allow South-East to get zoning. So, why did Wike run if believed it was the turn of the South? And if he believed it was the turn of the South, how come he did not believe it was the turn of the South-East?”
