A former Presidential Aide, Reno Omokri has taunted a former Minister of Education and co-convener of ‘#BringBackOurGirls,’ Obi Ezekwesili, over her silence on the death of the late hip-hop singer, Ilerioluwa Imole Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, sighting ethnic bigotry as the reason why she has kept mute on the issue.
Omokri who mocked Ezekwesili via a post on his X handle on Tuesday, alleged that if late Mohbad was from the southeastern part of the country, the former Minister would have danced nicked, protesting on the streets, to demand justice for him.
According to him, Ezekwesili who protested, wanted to set the Southeast against the Southwest because of the ordinary JAMB result Mmesomma Ejikeme forged, has not gotten the same strength to protest, because Mohbad was not from the Eastern part of the country.
It would be recalled that Mohbad died in a way, people described as a strange circumstance on last week Tuesday, and his death has caused a lot of controversies among Nigerians who believe that his death was not natural.
However, different people from all walks of life, including the political class have been demanding justice for the late singer.
Meanwhile, Ezekwesili who has been always known for her social-political activism, has kept mute on the issue, which is very strange, considering her records of fighting against social injustice.
Reacting to her strange silence, Omokri tweeted: “If MohBad had been from the Southeast, by now Oby Ezekwesili would have been dancing naked in the street, the way she danced naked when Mmesomma Ejikeme lied and forged her JAMB result, shouting tribalism and trying to set the Southeast against the Southwest because a Yoruba Muslim JAMB registrar was cheating Mmesomma.
