Former President Muhammadu Buhari has claimed that he did not miss anything in his eight years in office as the president.
Buhari made this claim while speaking during an interview with the Nigeria Television Authority, which was posted on its official X handle on Sunday.
When asked the immediate former President about what he missed from his time in office, he said, “Miss. I don’t think I miss much.”
It would be recalled that Buhari had previously said he would not miss his time in office because he was being “harassed”.
The former military leader had said in December 2022, that he was doing his best for Nigerians but it was not good enough.
The retired military general said, “I believe I’m trying my best, but still my best is not good enough.
“I wonder if I am going to miss much. I think I’m being harassed.”
While also speaking on his health challenges when he was president, Buhari said, “I think only my daughter can honestly answer this question.”
He spent 171 days on medical vacation in the United Kingdom between 2015 and 2021.
Former President Buhari spent 152 days on medical vacation in the UK in 2017 alone.
