The former Presidential Aide to the immediate former President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Garba Shehu, has given reason why the former President was absent at the caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress, in Abuja on Wednesday night.
Shehu who disclosed this through a post on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, apologized that the former president was occupied with another engagement which had been earlier scheduled.
Mr Buhari however, used the opportunity to express his support and commitment to the APC, wishing the party a good meeting as the leaders take decisions on issues of importance to the party and Nigeria at large.
The caucus meeting, which was summoned by President Bola Tinubu, was scheduled for 6 pm on Wednesday at the New Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa Abuja.
Among the party chieftains who attended the meeting are the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other bigwig members of the party.
