Nigeria’s opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, has advised Nigerians against voting for the Labour Party, suggesting that it is a waste of their votes.
According to The Punch, PDP on Saturday said this following the scuffle that ensued amidst the Labour Party on the formation of the Presidential Campaign Council.
The 1,234 members of the Labour Party PCC which Dr Doyin Okupe, was declared as the Director-General was rejected by some members of the Labour Party.
However, the LP Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has waded into the discord and promised to resolve the dispute.
Reacting to the scuffle, spokesperson for the PDP in Oyo State, Akeem Olatunji, said the Labour Party does not have the structure to win the elections.
He said, “The bottom line is structure. Does the LP have the structure? The answer is no. Anybody that is voting for the LP, either in the North or in the South-West and South-South is only going to waste his votes, and instead of wasting vote, why don’t you vote the PDP?’’
