The ousted President of Gabon, Ali Bongo, has called on friends all over the world, to make some noise about his situation.
Ali Bongo who made the call through a 42-minute video, revealed that he had been arrested by the military group in the country.
This platform had earlier reported that the military group in the country in the early hours of Wednesday, August 30, 2023, declared a takeover of government, noting that the last presidential election conducted in the country, which saw the ousted President as the winner, had been annulled.
However, it was also reported some hours later, that the president had been put under house arrest, by the coup plotters.
Corroborating the news of his arrest through the video clip, Bongo claimed that he had been arrested with the members of his family.
According to him, his wife was put in a separate place, while his son in also placed in a separate place he could not ascertain.
To all the friends that will have all over the world. To tell them to make noise.
To make noise, the people here have arrested me and my family. My son is somewhere, my wife is in another place. And I am at the resident.
“Right now, I am the resident. I don’t know what is happening. Right now, I don’t know what is going on.
“I am calling you to make noise, make noise really. That is why I’m calling you. I am thanking you,” he said.
