The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday described the name of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship running mate in Lagos, Funke Akindele as an insult in his presence.
The former governor of Lagos said this during a meeting with the party members and supporters at the Lagos APC Secretariat.
Tinubu while reacting to a song aimed at Funke Akindele which was rendered by some of the party women at the meeting said that the mention of her name in his presence is an insult.
“Don’t even behave as if you remember the name.
“It is a big insult, it is an abuse. A fowl wants to enter a house, it is bending down, how tall is it in the first place.” Tinubu said.
As of the time of filing this report, Funke Akindele is yet to respond to the comments.
