Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta, has called on his players to turn their frustration into fuel as they prepare for a crucial Champions League second leg clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital.
The Gunners were left reeling after a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in Saturday’s Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium, a result that compounded their recent 1-0 loss to PSG in the first leg of their semi-final tie.
Arteta, speaking to the club’s official website, stressed the importance of channeling the emotions from the domestic setback into a powerful response against their European opponents.
“We certainly wanted to create a positive vibe; a positive result would have really helped us to build what we wanted towards Wednesday,” Arteta said.
“What we have created now is a lot of rage, anger, frustration, and a bad feeling in the tummy.
“So let’s make sure we use that for Wednesday to have a massive performance in Paris, win the game, and be in the final.”
