The Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Lee Satterfield, will visit Nigeria from March 17 to 22, 2024.
The travel to Africa’s most populous nation include a visit to Lagos and the country’s capital, Abuja.
According to a media note from the Office of the Spokesperson from the US Department of States, Satterfield, while in Nigeria, will advance key bilateral priorities, including expanding access to education and bolstering economic opportunities through the creative arts.
The visit will build on the recent visit by Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken to reinforce the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to Africa by focusing on people-to-people connections between Americans and Nigerians.
