Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu, has assured that his team will give their all in the decisive group fixture against Kenya at the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian side was held to a goalless stalemate by Morocco in their second Group B encounter, played on Sunday night at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.
With four points from two matches, the Flying Eagles currently sit second in the group standings.
Morocco, who top the group, also have four points but edge Nigeria on goal difference.
Kenya, who have suffered back-to-back defeats, 3-2 to Morocco and 3-1 to Tunisia, remain rooted at the bottom of the table without a point.
Speaking after the draw against Morocco, Zubairu expressed his mindset ahead of the final group clash.
“We will approach the game against Kenya with all sense of positivity,” he stated.
“They are a good side and we will play against them with a lot of respect even though they are yet to get a point in this group.
“We will play with all the concentration to get the three points.”
The Flying Eagles will lock horns with the Rising Stars of Kenya on Wednesday in a must-win tie to secure progress in the tournament.
