A former Presidential Aide and Best Selling Author, Reno Omokri, has again slammed the supporters of Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Omokri who took a swipe at Mr Obi’s supporters, popularly known as the Obidients, why mocking them for their candidate’s loss at the just concluded Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, said they act first before thinking.
According to him, they knew the election may be decided by the Supreme Court, yet they were insulting the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
It would be recalled that there were speculations online, shortly after the declaration of President Bola Tinubu, as the winner of the February 25 Presidential, that Tinubu and the Chief Justice, met in London, to bargain on the tribunal judgement.
Mr Tinubu who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, was declared as the winner of the election, by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
However, Obi and Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, approached the tribunal to seek for nullification of Tinubu’s victory.
Meanwhile, Justice Kayode Ariwoola was spotted at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja, en route to London, shortly after the declaration of Tinubu, and this called for a lot of cyberbullying, from the public, especially the Obidients who claimed the Chief Justice was spotted in a hotel which Tinubu who left the country immediately after his declaration, purportedly lodged.
However, the PEPT gave its judgement on Wednesday, September 8, 2023, and it upheld the victory of President Tinubu, as declared by the INEC in the election, while Obi and Atiku’s petitions were thrown away.
Mocking the Obidients via his X handle on Friday, Omokri who has been vocal against the group, wrote: “Obidients act first then think later.
“You knew this election may be decided by the Supreme Court, yet you were insulting Chief Justice Kayode Ariwoola earlier this year.
“Mocking him when he was in a wheelchair. As if it is a sin to be in a wheelchair. As if you may not also grow old one day.
“Now, after ridiculing the man, calling him an agent of Tinubu, and falsely accusing him of collecting bribes, your case is now before him and his colleagues. And you Obiddients are now trending #AllEyesOnKayodeAriwoola.
“The type of artwork you guys will cry soon won’t be Ariwoola. It will be two more!”
