Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has affirmed that his primary focus remains on guiding Galatasaray to a third straight league title, stating that any decision regarding his future will be made after the season concludes.
The Nigerian striker, who made a season-long loan move from Napoli to the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions last September, is widely anticipated to leave the Serie A club permanently this summer.
Osimhen, 26, has attracted interest from several Premier League sides, while Galatasaray are reportedly eager to retain him beyond the current campaign.
Despite the speculation, Osimhen maintains that his attention is firmly fixed on the present. Speaking to Galatasaray’s official website, he said:
“There are always rumours about me, of course. But I prefer to live in the moment. I am enjoying myself right now. I am enjoying both the club and my life here,” the striker told the club’s official website.
“The fans have also been incredibly supportive since the first day, all stakeholders within Galatasaray, everyone has helped me. They have always been there for me, not just me, but also my friends and family.
“Now I will fight for the fifth star with my team, and a decision will be made at the end of the season about what will be best for everyone. Galatasaray will forever be in my heart.”
So far this season, Osimhen has delivered an impressive return of 29 goals and five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions under head coach Okan Buruk.
