A former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has advised the Supreme Court to pray to God to reveal President Bola Tinubu’s original certificate to them ahead of judgment.
Sani, who represented Kaduna Central at the Red Chamber, also explained that the apex court Justices need three days of fervent fasting and prayers to be able to determine which one of Tinubu’s certificates is authentic.
Sani advised on his X handle on Tuesday.
The court had on Tuesday acknowledged that there were two conflicting letters from Chicago State University on Tinubu’s certificate.
Justice John Okoro, the chairman of the seven-member panel hearing the application filed by Atiku Abubakar against the victory of Tinubu stated this on Monday.
Okoro said criminal matters have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt.
He said “But in this case, there are two conflicting letters from the CSU—one authenticating the president’s certificate and another discrediting it. Which do we rely on?”
Reacting to the development, Sani said the situation calls for spiritual attention.
“If the Supreme Court received two conflicting letters from Chicago, the best thing for them is to go into fasting for three days; on the third day, God will show them the genuine one in a dream. We are a prayerful nation,” he tweeted.
