Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, hosted twelve Southern governors on Monday at the state’s presidential lodge in Abeokuta.
Among the governors present were Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Alex Otii of Abia State, Babajide Sanw-Olu of Lagos State, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, and Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.
Also in attendance were Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Chinyere Ekomaru, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Monday Onyeme, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, and Olayide Adelami, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State.
At approximately 1:18 pm, the governors proceeded into the Marque hall for a closed-door meeting.
A banner displayed at the event indicated that a total of 17 governors were expected to attend.
