The Senate on Thursday postponed its resumption till April 30.
The Clerk of the senate, Chinedu Akubueze, made the announcement in a release he circulated among Senators in Abuja
The message was titled: “For the information of Distinguished Senators: Notice of postponement of resumption.”
It read, “Distinguished Senators are hereby, respectfully informed that resumption of plenary, which was earlier postponed to Tuesday 23rd April 2024, has further been postponed to Tuesday 30th April 2024 at 11 am.
“Kindly note that the plenary sitting will be held at the main Chamber of the Senate. All inconveniences this postponement may cause Distinguished Senators are highly regretted, please.”
The House of Representatives had on Wednesday also further moved its resumption till April 30.
This is the second time the National Assembly is postponing its resumption after it took a break on March 22 to celebrate the Easter and Sallah festivities.
It first shifted its resumption from April 16th to 23rd, and now it has moved it from 23rd to April 30th.
