The Supreme Court has upheld the March 18 governorship election that brought in Dapo Abiodun as the Governor of Ogun State.
The apex court made this declaration on Friday, January 19.
A five-member panel of the apex court in a unanimous decision, dismissed the appeal filed by Ladi Adebutu and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party against Abiodun’s election.
Reading the lead judgement, Justice Tijjani Abubakar, resolved all the issues raised for determination against the appellants.
He said their appeal lacked merit as they failed to prove their case.
