The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the outgoing speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on his appointment as the Chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu.
Tinubu had announced the appointment of Gbajabiamila as his COS during a meeting with the Progressives Governors on Friday.
Reacting to his appointment through a Twitter post on Monday evening, the governor of Lagos, who described Gbajabiamila’s tenure as the speaker of the green chamber as a remarkable one, said he will excel in his new appointment without any doubt.
While congratulating the new COS, Sanwo-Olu also congratulated Geoge Akume, who was appointed as the Secretary to the Governments of the federation, noting that the duo will lead their offices with integrity and efficiency.

“Your leadership as Speaker of the House of Reps has been remarkable, and I do not doubt that you’ll excel in this new role. I wish you success in driving progress for our nation.
“Congratulations also to Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia and George Akume on becoming Deputy Chief of Staff and SGF respectively.
“I’m certain you’ll lead your offices with integrity and efficiency,” he wrote.
