A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu’s peace deal in Rivers State is to disgrace the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The party chieftain made the revelation in a statement released on Tuesday in the state capital, Port Harcourt.
Recall that President Tinubu recently convened a meeting of Rivers State stakeholders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where a peace agreement was brokered to end the supremacy tussle between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Wike.
Some of the items contained in the peace deal are for all court cases filed on the crisis to be withdrawn.
Also, Governor Fubara should allow the 25 lawmakers who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress to continue with their legislative duties, among others.
The meeting was attended by Governor Fubara, Wike, Peter Odilli, a former governor of the state, and other political leaders in the state.
Aside from Governor Fubara and Wike, others who signed the resolution document include the PDP chairperson in Rivers State, Aaron Chukwuemeka, and the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule.
The resolution was also signed by Rivers Deputy Governor Ngozi Ordu and a factional Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martin Chike.
Eze, however, stressed that the peace deal was geared towards disgracing the immediate past governor of the state.
He added that President Tinubu is aware that the clauses on the signed peace deal can not be implemented by any sound fellow.
“The fact remains that President Tinubu is fully aware those directives can’t be implemented by any sound fellow if not to disgrace Wike and his misguided followers,” Eze said.
