The 2023 Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers State, Mrs Beatrice Itubo, has lost her only son, Dr. Confidence Itubo.
Disclosing this through a post on his X handle on Thursday, the Presidential candidate of the party in the last election, Peter Obi noted that he was informed of Dr. Confidence’s death, by the River State Chairman of the LP, Hilda Dokubo.
Describing the news of the Doctor’s exit as a sad one, Obi on behalf of his family and the Obidient family, offers his condolences to the deceased mother, Mrs Itubo, over the “painful death of her beloved son.”
The former Anambra State Governor however prayed that God should grant him eternal rest, while also praying that God give his mother and the entire Itubo family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“I was informed this morning by our River State Chairman, Hilda Dokubo, of the sad news of the death of Dr. Confidence Itubo, the only beloved son of Mrs. Beatrice Itubo, our Gubernatorial Candidate in Rivers State in the last election.
“On behalf of my family and the Obedient family, I most sincerely condole with Mrs Itubo over the painful death of her beloved son.
“One cannot begin to imagine the pain of a mother losing a son with a very promising future.
