The House of Representatives on Friday said it would soon commence an investigation on Nigerian Navy procurement soon.
This came on the premise of the reports of the arrival of the presidential yacht into the country without an approval from the Upper Chamber.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Navy, Yusuf Gagdi, made this known via telephone conversation with Premium Times.
The committee chairman denied knowledge of the approval for the procurement of the platform.
He stressed that the Navy embarked on extra-budgetary spending.
He vowed to investigate how the platform came into the country in no distant time.
“Committee on Navy will investigate how a platform was brought in without the approval of the parliament. We will soon commence an investigation,” he said.
