The Katsina State Government has announced the easing of restrictions on movement by adjusting the curfew imposed across the state.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the curfew will now be from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM daily, instead of the previous 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Faskari stated that the decision to ease the curfew was made with immediate effect, following an assessment of the security situation by Acting Governor Malam Faruk Lawal. Lawal expressed satisfaction with the improvement in security.
He said, “I applaud both security personnel and residents for their cooperation during the heightened restrictions. I urge residents to continue to be law-abiding and cooperate with the government in ensuring lasting peace and security in the state.”
The relaxed curfew is expected to bring relief to residents and businesses that were previously impacted by the restrictions.
