The Presidency has issued an apology for the errors found in the list of appointments made by President Bola Tinubu since assuming office.
The initial list was released in an attempt to address concerns about alleged lopsided appointments under the President’s administration.
Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South in the National Assembly, recently criticized President Tinubu’s appointments, accusing him of disregarding the federal character principle.
Ndume emphasized his right as a lawmaker to voice concerns, even though they belong to the same party, the All Progressives Congress.
In response, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, shared a list of appointees from each geopolitical zone to counter the accusations.
However, the omission of key figures, including the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, sparked further debate and confusion on social media platforms.
On Thursday, Dare took to his X handle to acknowledge the errors in the list, issuing an apology.
“We have noticed a number of errors in the list of appointments tweeted. We are sorry. We will provide an updated list later. Thank you,” he stated.
