The Zamfara State Governor-elect, Dr. Dauda Lawal-Dare, received his certificates of return at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s state headquarters in Zamfara, on Friday, March 31, 2023.
The Independent National Electoral Commission presented the Certificates of Return to the governor-elect, and his Deputy, Mallam Mani Muni respectively.
The National Commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States presented the certificates at the Independent National Electoral Commission, office in Gusau, the State capital.
The Certificates of Return for the twenty-four elected members of the State House of Assembly were also presented to them by the State Resident Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission, professor Saidu Babura Ahmad.
Reacting, after receiving the Certificate of Return, the Governor-elect, assured that the efforts of Zamfara indigenes will not be in vain, describing them as the divisive gurus.
However, he pledged to do his best by repositioning the state, pointing out that for decades, residents have been reaping thorns in their apple farms.
He further urged them to use the opportunity of the Ramadan fasting period to pray for divine intervention, so that the Almighty Allah will restore peace and stability to the state.
The governor-elect was in company of all the PDP chieftains and teeming supporters in Zamfara state.
