President Bola Tinubu, for the first time since he took over power on May 29, 2023, met with his predecessor, former President, Muhammadu Buhari, in an open event, at a book launch in honour of former President Buhari.
Tinubu met Buhari in the rare event that the President attended as the guest of honour, at the launching of a book titled ‘Working with Buhari’, which was written by the former Special Adviser to former President Buhari, on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in honour of the former president.
However, among other dignitaries who graced the occasion were the former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The event which took place in Abuja, the nation’s capital, also has in attendance, the former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, among several other dignitaries.
The book written by Adesina, was presented alongside five volumes of another book titled ‘Muhammadu Buhari, The Nigerian Legacy, 2015 to 2023.’
The event which was held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, marks Buhari’s first official visit to the nation’s capital since May 29, 2023, when he handed over the government to Tinubu.
