The Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday held its strategic planning meeting in Abuja.
The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, disclosed this, sharing pictures from the meeting on his Twitter handle.
The meeting was held with the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, and Governors elected under the platform of the party.
Fintiri stated that following the resolutions from the meeting, the party has decided to work together, reposition the party, and keep the flame of hope burning.
He tweeted, “Great news from the @OfficialPDPNig’s strategic planning meeting in Abuja today! We’ve resolved to work together, reposition the party, and keep the flame of hope burning. Encouraging meeting with @atiku and fellow Governors, discussing challenges, unity, and the way forward.”
Recall that, in the 2023 presidential election, PDP was among the major contenders, alongside the All Progressive Congress’ Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Labour Party’s Peter Obi and the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s Rabiu Kwankwaso.
While the APC won the election, the PDP came second, LP came third, with NNPP coming a distant fourth.
