The factional Chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa appeared at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Friday.
Premium Politics reported that Apapa, who was bullied and attacked by the loyalists of the embattled National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure during his last appearance at the tribunal on Wednesday, vowed to attend the proceedings at the tribunal on Friday, claiming that it was his responsibility as an authentic chairman of the party.
Apapa, who was the National Vice Chairman (South-West) of the party, put himself forward as the acting chairman following the ruling by a Federal High Court in Abuja, which stopped Abure from parading himself as the party chairman.
However, the power tussle between them took another turn on Wednesday when the two factions presented themselves as the representative of the party at the tribunal.
However, the pre-hearing was postponed to Friday, after the court insisted that there must be cooperation between the two parties, on who the representative of the party should be.
The factional chairman has, however, appeared in court today, sitting at a corner of the court, to follow the proceedings.
Premium Politics also reported on Friday that Abure who announced that he has resumed back to the Party’s secretariat on Thursday said that there’s no faction in the party.
