The 2023 Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has again visited President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
This was disclosed by a media aide to Engr Kwankwaso, Saifullahi Hassan through a post on his Facebook page, where he shared photos of the duo which he claimed they took at the presidential villa in Abuja, on Thursday.
According to Hassan, the two political leaders and Presidential candidates of the NNPP and the ruling All Progressives Congress met on issues of national interest.
It would be recalled that Kwankwaso and the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had earlier met this month, in a meeting regarded as an avenue to discuss national issues, according to Kwankwanso’s aide.
Meanwhile, it was been speculated that the meeting between Atiku and Kwankwanso, was to plan ahead of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal judgement, which some people believe, might end up recommending a rerun.
So, it was rumoured that Atiku and Kwankwanso were planning to organize a meeting with Peter Obi, to plan a possible merger, to present a formidable candidate who would wrestle power from the APC and Tinubu.
However, after the first leg of the meetings was said to be successful, another one between Obi and other important individuals in PDP, began to take shape, after the other two stakeholders agreed to bring him in.
The alliance discussions, which were said to be in the preliminary stages, had been hinged on two pillars.
Reports further claimed that the three leaders have decided to wait for the outcome of the election petitions which would determine the second leg of the decision.
