Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborovweri, on Wednesday, inaugurated a second batch of Special Advisers into his cabinet.
Making this disclosure via a post on his X handle on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Governor Oborovweri noted that the group consists of carefully selected technocrats, who possess exceptional skill and expertise in their various fields.
The governor also urged the new appointees to see their appointments as an opportunity to serve the people of the state.
The governor further advised them to place themselves as catalysts for change, while he also urged them to approach their assignments with a profound sense of urgency, noting that they must not at any point give preferential treatment to anyone while discharging their duties.
“Today, in the historic Unity Hall at the old Government House in Asaba, I proudly inaugurated the second batch of Special Advisers.
“This distinguished group consists of carefully selected technocrats who possess exceptional skills and expertise.
“During the ceremony, I emphasized to the appointees that their appointments are not merely an end in itself, but rather a significant opportunity to serve the wonderful people of Delta State.
” I wholeheartedly urged them to become catalysts for change, approaching their assignments with a profound sense of urgency.
“Furthermore, I emphasized the importance of avoiding any form of preferential treatment, be it on the grounds of ethnicity, politics or religion. Let me take this moment to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Special Advisers once again,” he wrote.
